Lifestyle Equipment Solutions a Member of Luxury Trade & Marketing Group W.L.L. registered and based in Qatar, hereinafter referred to as ‘LES’, supplies goods on hire only under the following terms and conditions:
The 'Hirer' or “Client” is any individual, company or organization to which LES has contracted to supply goods and/or services.
Goods, equipment are any items that are the subject of any contract between LES and the Hirer; regardless of ownership.
The Order or Contract is any written agreement between the hirer and LES for the latter to provide goods and/or services. In general, a concluded contract contains an official LES quotation and an LPO from the Client / Hirer.
The Hirer shall, prior to commencement of hire, make 100% payment of the agreed price on confirmation of the order or based on the individual confirmation written in the quotation. Payment of an order to supply goods and/or services shall be deemed to mean acceptance in full of these Terms and Conditions.
Please note that all furniture quotations are based on availability at the time of inquiry, and furniture will not be booked for a client or reserved until payment is received.
Checks should be made payable to Luxury Trade and Marketing Group and bare the current date
Any failure on behalf of the hirer to make such payment will make the contract null and void.
Our standard cancellation terms on confirmed orders are:
- Cancellation more than 7 days prior to date of hire: 50% of order value charge.
- Cancellation more than 5 days prior to date of hire: 75% of order value charge.
- Cancellation less than 2 days prior to date of hire: 100% of order value charged
- Credit facilities will not be offered on hire services/contracts.
In the event of any overdue payments, interest will be applied at 4% Qatar National Bank base rate.
LES will not be bound by any order placed by the hirer until the agreed payment has been received and LES has notified the hirer in writing of the acceptance of the order.
LES reserves the right to alter ranges, specifications and prices of items offered for hire. LES reserves the right to substitute alternative goods subject to availability.
The period of hire shall commence at the time of delivery by LES to the venue and/or collection from LES premises by the hirer of goods stated in the approved order.
The period of hire shall cease at the time of collection by LES from the venue and/or delivery to LES’s premises by the Hirer of goods stated in the approved order, and after acceptance by LES of goods returned in good condition.
It is the duty of the Hirer to provide at the commencement and completion of the hire period a duly authorized representative to sign for and issue a written receipt for all goods either delivered or collected (Delivery Note). If the Hirer fails to fulfill this obligation, any subsequent disputes will be rendered null and void.
All hire charges quoted are as per agreement at the time of confirmation, and no reductions or refunds will be made after the commencement of the chargeable period. Any extension of hire will be charged as an additional period; with additional hire days charged at our standard rates.
If the hirer fails to return any goods hired by him at the end of the hire period, the hirer shall be obliged to pay the ongoing daily hire cost, chargeable as 7 hire days / week.
Any damage to hired goods, beyond reasonable wear and tear will be the responsibility of the hirer. Any repair work or replacement costs will be borne by the hirer. The hirer will be responsible to cover the daily hire charge during the period that any items are out of our rental stock for repair purposes.
The Hirer undertakes to keep all hired goods in good order and condition and to return all of them to LES in such order and condition.
During the period of hire, it is the sole responsibility of the Hirer to insure the hired goods against all risks and eventualities.
In the event of total loss or irreparable damage to any hire goods for any reason whatsoever, the hirer will be charged for the full replacement value of the goods plus 5 times the daily hire charge. Therefore, it is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that adequate insurance is taken out.
Shortages and damages to hired linen will be charged at the full replacement value. LES will not accept substitute items in place of damaged items.
Damages to goods which are deemed as irreparable include but are not limited to: burns and scorches, cuts and rips, defacement, ink marks, earth or concrete stains, candle wax and any damage caused by external forces i.e. weather and water damage.
All hired glassware, cutlery or crockery should be cleaned before return. Any items returned dirty or soiled will incur a cleaning charge.
LES will not be held liable for any damage or injury caused by the misuse of hired goods.
LES will not be held liable for any loss or damage caused to the hirer’s own goods.
LES will not be held liable for any venue charges arising from the contract, including but not limited to: removal of double-sided tape from floors, indentations in carpets from furniture legs or scratch marks or chips to venue premises from miss-movement of items by the hirer.
It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that all equipment should be cleared of all personal possessions/belongings, as no responsibility can be accepted for their safe custody.
LES will make every endeavor to effect delivery and collection of hired items at a time indicated by the hirer, but will not under any circumstances accept liability for any delay in delivery or collection nor for any expense incurred to the hirer by such a delay when the circumstances are outside its control.
Instructions of the Hirer that are different to those on the approved order cannot be carried out unless given in writing to LES a minimum of 3 days prior to the commencement of the hire period and accepted by LES in writing.
Transportation and labor costs are billed as extras, over and above the rental charge. Transportation and labor costs will differ depending on delivery location.
It is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure that adequate access to the venue is provided for delivery and collection of hired goods, including all necessary accreditation, passes, paper work and entry permits into a venue for LES staff and transport. All necessary details, passport and visa copies will be provided by LES upon request.
LES is not responsible for the placing of goods and unless placement is specifically included within our quotation as an extra service. Goods will be offloaded and delivered within 50 meters of the allotted vehicle offload area, unless prior agreement has been made for delivery to a specific location within the venue.
Chargeable standing time (waiting time for delays caused by the client or venue) for transport, staff and labor will be charged at 100 QR per hour for staff and labor and 250 QR for all vehicles. Any complaints or disputes that may arise must be submitted in writing during the open period of hire. This will ensure full investigation can take place.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and constructed and shall take effect in accordance with the prevailing Laws of the State of Qatar.
These Terms and Conditions can only be changed or modified with the written approval of the Sales Representative and Directors of Luxury Trade & Marketing Group W.L.L.
